Favorite Foods & Restaurants!

Micky Pretzel- California Adventure

Visiting during Pixar Fest meant stopping at all the booths for limited-time treats. From sweet to savory, we tried it all.

Let’s start with a classic: the Mickey-shaped pretzel. Salty, soft, and shaped like Mickey—what more could you ask for?

My all-time favorite restaurant is Blue Bayou. Dining under twinkling lanterns while watching Pirates of the Caribbean boats float by is pure magic. And the food is fantastic, this restaurant-it’s become a staple for our trips.

This trip, we finally tried Lamplight Lounge, and it did not disappoint! The fun vibe, Pixar Pier views, and delicious food make it a new favorite.

A Disneyland trip isn’t complete without Oga’s Cantina. Who can resist a Fuzzy Taun-Taun? The drinks are out of this world, and the atmosphere is straight from a galaxy far, far away.

We also made sure to stop by Rita’s Margaritas for a refreshing drink and Cocina Cucamonga Mexican Grill for some delicious Birria Tacos. A new favorite? Edelweiss Garlic Bread, packed with flavor and absolutely tasty!

No visit is complete without Beignets from Mint Julep Bar—warm, fluffy, and covered in powdered sugar. And how could I forget Dole Whip? A trip to Disneyland isn’t a trip to Disneyland without a delicious serving of Dole Whip

Finally, we always start one morning at Goofy’s Kitchen. The character interactions and buffet variety make it the perfect way to fuel up for a long park day.

Every Disneyland visit is packed with adventure, and this trip was no exception! We experienced some firsts, a few surprises, and of course, all the magic Disney has to offer.

Riding Jungle Cruise at night was an entirely new experience—the glowing lanterns and eerie ambiance made it even more fun! We also had an unexpected adventure when Big Thunder Mountain Railroad broke down while we were on it, leading to an exciting backstage walk through the tunnels underneath the ride.

One of my all-time favorite rides, Space Mountain, remains unbeatable, but Pirates of the Caribbean is a close second. Unfortunately, some of our other favorites, like Haunted Mansion and Splash Mountain, were closed for renovations, but we can’t wait to experience Tiana’s Bayou Adventure in 2025!

We also explored Pirate’s Lair on Tom Sawyer Island for the first time, a hidden gem filled with caves, bridges, and fun surprises. And no Disneyland trip is complete without the evening spectacular—Fantasmic! still reigns as my favorite nighttime show, with its dazzling effects and nostalgic Disney magic.

Meeting characters is always a highlight, and this time we got to see some of our favorites, from Belle & Ariel to Stitch & Mickey. There’s something special about those moments that make Disneyland feel even more magical.
